Born in 1884, Albert Day was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1904. In 1916 he received an M.A. from the University of Cincinnati. He became a well known lecturer and author, and was chosen as 1 of 6 leading preachers by Christian century magazine poll in 1945. Also in 1945 he founded the Disciplined Order of Christ.
